Nisi studied Creative Writing with Frank McCourt at Stuyvesant High School in New York City, and won the sole Graduation Award for Creative Writing. Nisi won a full scholarship to study Painting in Cortona, Italy, in the last year of Cooper, and learned Computer Science, Digital Photography, Signage, and Silk Painting at Fashion Institute of Technology.
At the Experimental Cinema Department at SUNY, Binghamton, co-founded by her father, experimental filmmaker Ken Jacobs, Nisi studied Field Recording and Mixing, Film Sound Design, and Nonlinear Editing with Vincent Grenier and Jacobs.
Nisi taught Sound Design and Nonlinear Editing at NYU Graduate Center of Advanced Digital Applications, NYU Continuing Ed, NY Film Academy, The New School, BMCC, The Edit Center, Future Media Concepts, Soho Editors, and national Certified Apple Authorized Training Centers (Final Cut Pro, 3D Motion, Apple Certified Trainer).
